300 mm Drum-Style Hydraulic-Feed Chippers

The TOMCAT Model 4300 AFP wood chipper is designed and purpose-built for the large-scale fruit farmer and bush clearing contractor. When the workload is hefty and you need to get the job done fast, the M4300AFP is built for you. The large and aggressive feed rollers in conjunction with the large and uniquely shaped hopper enhance the chipper's ability to efficiently control trees and crush side limbs, reducing prep time and increasing production. Eliminating prep time on seasonal citrus, macadamia, and pecan nut cuttings with abundant side branches saves money on labor and chainsaw costs. The large 700 mm diameter chipping drum with 4 staggered blades ensures unrivaled performance, reduces running costs per ton, and makes this the most powerful 300 mm machine on the market!
The chipper drum is equipped with fans on both sides, which deliver a powerful chip discharge. The 80-liter hydraulic tank with a unique double filtration system enhances the lifespan of its hydraulic components. A lock-pin is conveniently situated on the side of the drum housing, which allows for easy blade maintenance. Timken drum bearings will ensure that things run smoothly. A robust yet compact design allows the chipper to move through orchards with ease.

250 mm Drum-Style Hydraulic-Feed Chippers

Durable, super efficient and extremely hungry! The M4250 AFP is the most cost effective solution for chipping seasonal prunings due to its large in-feed opening, powerful in-feed rollers and unique drum diameter. Chipping material up to 250mm in diameter with minimal material preparation required. The two extremely powerful and sharp feed rollers, fitted with Parker hydraulic motors, bite into the material, ensuring optimum production. A 60 liter hydraulic tank with a double-filtration system will ensure longevity on the hydraulic system. The chipper and tractor are protected by an electronic reversing auto-feed system, which ensures that the machine cannot be over-fed. The reversing auto-feed function also allows smaller horsepower tractors to drive the chipper - saving fuel - especially when the branches are smaller in diameter. The hydraulic lift & crush features give the operator the ultimate control - improving efficiency by crushing side branches and allowing the top feed roller to climb onto large logs with ease. The M4250 AFP wood chipper is supplied on a 40kmph farm trailer with leaf springs, also available with an electric motor or diesel engine. The foldable feed tray comes standard and assists the operator to place large amounts of small material into the opening of the wood chipper, while creating a safer working distance.

200 mm Drum-Style Hydraulic-Feed Chippers

The Model 4200 AFP is designed for fruit farming operations and alien clearing projects where the wood chips are utilized for mulch or compost. This unit features large diameter in-feed rollers that climb effortlessly onto fruit tree branches and the fans on the sides of the drum enhance discharge velocity and efficiency. A lock-pin is located at the side of the drum to make blade changing safer and quicker. The in-feed opening of 260mm x 230mm reduces prep-time on material and the lift & crush feature allows the operator to crush stubborn side branches in a split second.

The chipper and tractor are protected by an electronic reversing auto-feed computer, which ensures that the machine cannot be over-fed, increases chipping blade life and reduces fuel consumption. Components that require maintenance are easily accessible, which limits downtime. The Model 4200 AFP is built standard on a farm trailer and is also available on a PTO base that hooks on the 3-point and sits 180° in line with the tractor.

150 mm Drum-Style Hydraulic-Feed Chippers

Looking for a versatile unit to chip general garden waste on your estate, seasonal orchard prunings and assist with chipping pine, black wattle, Port Jackson branches on your farm? Don't look any further! The Model 4150 is fitted with a reversing auto-feed (LOR) unit, which controls the feeding of the chipper automatically when chipping large branches up to 150mm in diameter. It is very easy to hook onto the 3 point of the tractor and the wide in-feed opening minimizes downtime as it swallows material with side branches without the hassle of pre-pruning the material. The dual in-feed rollers allow for more control over hard and awkward material. A forward/reverse bar is used to change the direction of the feed. This chipper requires minimal maintenance and is easy to service. This wood chipper is also available as a trailerized PTO unit or on as an engine driven unit on an SABS roadworthy trailer.

150mm Drum-Style Gravity-Feed Chippers

The 4150 grevity-feed series range is built for the same applications as the smaller 4100 Series, except that it boasts a wide in-feed opening, which allows this unit to pull material with small side branches in with ease. The perfect unit for a garden service or company clearing small branches on a housing estate. The discharge chute can swivel 360 degrees and the chip deflector allows the operator to control the direction of the chip discharge. This model is very easy to operate and has extremely low maintenance costs. The engine-driven CDE unit is built standard on an SABS roadworthy trailer and is easy to move around by hand once hooked off. The CDE also comes standard with a spare wheel and toolbox. The CDP is the only PTO-driven gravity-feed chipper in our range. A PTO-shaft is included with the unit and the well-positioned connection points allow for quick connection to the tractor.
