With TOMCAT’s addition of the heavy-duty steel conveyor system and the state-of-the-art features available on the standard Model 4375 AFE, we continue to raise the bar yet again! The Model 4375 AFE 2IC wood chipper is purpose-built for compost producers, rental companies, forestry, contractors and fruit farmers in the macadamia nut & citrus industries. The operator has full hydraulic control over the top-feed roller, height adjustment and direction of the discharge chute/flipper. The 2.0 m steel in-feed conveyor allows for continuous feeding, ensures easy loading of larger branches and will reduce operator fatigue. A uniquely designed chipper drum with a diameter of 780mm paired with a 125HP engine hits the ultimate sweet spot with regards to fuel efficiency vs output. Running costs per cubic meter are reduced significantly with the large diameter drum, 4-cylinder water-cooled engine, 4 staggered chipping blades, in-feed conveyor together with its hydraulic features. A steel toolbox secures the battery and there is enough space to carry the necessary tools. A spare wheel will provide you with added peace of mind. The chipper is fitted with an electronic safety cut-out switch on the drum inspection plate and emergency stop switches are placed strategically around the conveyor to prevent injuries. An angled in-feed hopper will reduce prep work. The wood chipper is mounted on an SABS roadworthy, double-axle trailer, which allows for easy transportation.

The large feed opening of 520mm x 420mm makes this chipper very popular in the soft fruit, citrus, pecan- & macadamia nut industries. Running costs per cubic meter are reduced significantly with the larger diameter drum, electronic reversing auto-feed computer (TRAC unit), 4-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, 4 staggered chipping blades along with hydraulic features. Fans added on both sides of the drum create the ultimate discharge velocity to compact chips at the back of a truck so that you can load the most material possible. The hydraulic lift & crush feature gives the operator the ultimate control by improving efficiency by crushing side branches and allowing the top feed roller to climb onto large logs with ease. The toolbox is added to carry the necessary tools and a spare wheel is included for peace of mind when on site. The 4250 Series with an ultra-wide in-feed opening and ultra powerful Parker hydraulic motors makes this unit a must-have when chipping large amounts of brush with lots of side branches. The foldable feed tray comes standard and assists the operator in placing large amounts of small material into the machine and creating a safer working distance for feeders and the operator. The larger diameter in-feed rollers climb more easily onto larger branches and the improvements on the hydraulic system allow for increased daily production. The in-feed opening of 260 x 230mm allows operators to chip material with side branches - reducing prep time and saving costs. The chipper and engine are protected by an electronic reversing auto-feed, which ensures that the machine cannot be over-fed, increases chipping blade life and reduces fuel consumption. The hydraulic lift cylinder gives the operator the ultimate control - improving efficiency by crushing side branches and allowing the top feed roller to climb onto large logs with ease. Components that require maintenance are easily accessible, which limits downtime. This engine-driven wood chipper is fitted with a spare wheel and steel toolbox to protect the battery and tools from theft. The Model 4200 AFE wood chipper is built standard on a roadworthy trailer with a brake axle. This wood chipper is also available as PTO to hook behind a tractor or with an electric motor.

150 mm Drum-Style Hydraulic-Feed Chippers

The ideal unit for plot clearing, small rental companies and landscaping contractors. It's the perfect wood chipper to chip pine, black wattle, Port Jackson, rooikrans and even small orchard prunings on your farm. This wood chipper is built on an SABS roadworthy trailer and available in two engine options: 20Hp HONDA Gx630 V-Twin petrol engine or a 35 Hp Perkins diesel engine*. The AFE range is fitted with a reversing auto-feed function, which controls the feeding of the chipper automatically when chipping large branches. The wide in-feed opening minimizes downtime as it swallows ma-terial with side branches without the hassle of prepruning the material. The dual in-feed rollers allow for more control over hard and awkward material. A forward/reverse bar is used to control the direction of the feed roller. This chipper requires minimal maintenance, is easy to operate and service. This model is also available in PTO.

150mm Drum-Style Gravity-Feed Chippers

The 4150 gravity-feed series range is built for the same applications as the smaller 4100 Series, except that it boasts a wide in-feed opening, which allows this unit to pull material with small side branches in with ease. The perfect unit for a garden service or company clearing small branches on a housing estate. The discharge chute can swivel 360 degrees and the chip deflector allows the operator to control the direction of the chip discharge. This model is very easy to operate and has extremely low maintenance costs. The engine-driven CDE unit is built standard on an SABS roadworthy trailer and is easy to move around by hand once hooked off. The CDE also comes standard with a spare wheel and toolbox. The CDP is the only PTO-driven gravity-feed chipper in our range. A PTO-shaft is included with the unit and the well-positioned connection points allow for quick connection to the tractor.

The Model 4200 AFP is designed for fruit farming operations and alien clearing projects where the wood chips are utilized for mulch or compost. This unit features large diameter in-feed rollers that climb effortlessly onto fruit tree branches and the fans on the sides of the drum enhance discharge velocity and efficiency. A lock-pin is located at the side of the drum to make blade changing safer and quicker. The in-feed opening of 260mm x 230mm reduces prep-time on material and the lift & crush feature allows the operator to crush stubborn side branches in a split second.

The chipper and tractor are protected by an electronic reversing auto-feed computer, which ensures that the machine cannot be over-fed, increases chipping blade life and reduces fuel consumption. Components that require maintenance are easily accessible, which limits downtime. The Model 4200 AFP is built standard on a farm trailer and is also available on a PTO base that hooks on the 3-point and sits 180° in line with the tractor.
